The Electoral College is convening on Monday to officially elect the next President of the United States.

The Electoral College will be officially electing Donald Trump as the next President and Indiana Gov. Mike Pence as the next Vice President.

Electors are supposed to elect the candidate who carried their respective state. In all 50 states and the District of Columbia, electors will meet in their state capitals to cast their ballots. There are 538 electors and 270 votes are all that is needed to put Donald Trump in the White House.

In Indiana, the state’s 11 electors will meet in Indianapolis to give the official nod to Trump.

One elector from Jasper, Donald Hayes, says he’s received more than 40,000 emails and hundreds of phone calls and letters about his vote.

Hayes says he’s joining his 10 counterparts in supporting Trump.
