Local bands marched to Indy for State Finals


INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WEHT) – Local high school bands were in Indianapolis Saturday for the ISSMA Marching Band State Finals.

The bands left early in the morning and competed throughout the day for a panel of judges at the Lucas Oil Stadium.

Castle is in Class A and took home fourth place. Avon took first place.

In Class B, Reitz placed 5th, North took home 6th place, Jasper placed 7th and Harrison came in 9th. Greenfield-Central took first place.

In Class C, Vincennes-Lincoln took 7th place, Princeton took 9th place and Mount Vernon placed 10th. Western took first place.

In Class D, Forest Park came in 2nd place, Tell City took 8th, Southridge took 9th place and Mater Dei came in 10th. Lewis Cass came in first place.
