16 kids from Glenwood Leadership Academy are going to Disney World

Local News

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – Glenwood Leadership Academy was full of excitement today as 16 lucky kids were picked for the trip of a lifetime to Disney world.

It’s all a part of the Cops Connecting with Kids program.

To be eligible, the kids had to have good grades and good behavior.

Naomi Cabell, who was one of the lucky 16, said, “I was praying for it to be my friend. It popped up my name, I was scared but excited.”

The parents don’t have to worry about their kids one bit as they will be chaperoned by local law enforcement.

Thanks to plenty of fundraising and donations for the Cops Connecting with Kids program, 64 kids total from the Tri-State will get to go to Disney World in November along with 32 chaperones.

32 students from two more schools will be chosen next week.
