HENDERSON COUNTY, Ky. (WEHT) — The United Way is launching 211 service in Henderson County.

The kickoff will be at 11 Thursday morning at Henderson Community College.

211 allows people to access free and confidential services such as disaster assistance, healthcare and insurance assistance, housing and more.

Callers are connected with individuals who can get them directly to the resources they need.

Users can also text, chat and email the 211 service.
