LEXINGTON, Ky. (WEHT/CNN) – David Sparks was arrested in July after the remains of missing mother of four, Savannah Spurlock, were found buried in a shallow grave on the property belonging to Sparks’ family.

Spurlock was found in July after months of searching

Officers say her body was found naked, her feet bound with shipping tape, and placed in multiple black bags.

Now her alleged killer, who at first was charged with abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence, is being charged with her murder.

Spurlock disappeared in January after leaving a Lexington Bar.

David Sparks is scheduled to be arraigned on September 6.

The cause of death has not been released.
