Saturday morning, the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office reported they were dispatched to Tyson Foods parking lot at 14660 US Hwy 41 South in reference to a semi-tractor accident resulting in the death of a pedestrian.
Authorities tell Eyewitness News that Dwight Sharber of Slaughters, Kentucky was operating his Mack semi-tractor trailer in the parking lot when he struck an employee coming into work.
We’re told Glen Hawkins, 59, died.
Tyson Foods has left a statement on the accident:
We’re deeply saddened by this tragic accident and the loss of one of our team members. We’re working with law enforcement to investigate what happened.
