Madisonville, Ky. (WEHT) — The City of Madisonville has announced the acts for the Friday Night Live Summer Concert Series.

The event will be held in downtown Madisonville over the next three months.

The entertainment is divided into two different areas providing attendees with an option of two different types of live music.

We are excited for the new direction that we are taking Friday Night Live, said Mayor Kevin Cotton. We’ve looked to bring in some local favorites and combine that with regional sensations to allow for a broad range of music.

The first Friday Night Live on June 14, will feature Green River Drifters, a band from Owensboro, to open the main stage for Tracy Lawrence and Joe Nichols. The Extraordinary Gentlemen with Alonzo Pennington will be the leading entertainment on the West End Stage.

The next Friday Night Live will come after the 4th Fest Celebration in the park, and feature music by Andy Brasher, Kyle Daniels and The Charlie Daniels Band. The second Friday Night Live will take place on July 19, and The Cameron Tabor Band will take the lead stage to open up for Grand Funk Railroad, while the West End Stage will feature Nashville artist Jason Eskridge.

The last Friday Night Live of 2019 will feature Barry Potter and Hillbilly Heart performing on a set specifically designed for Sister Sledge and The Gap X Band. The West End Stage will feature local favorite, The Cameron Tabor Band.

We’ve worked on an accelerated timeline trying to get things ready for this year, said Public Relations Director Skylar Phaup. We are beside ourselves knowing that despite that, we were able to book some fantastic bands for the 2019 season that we are very excited to have set the mood for what is sure to be a summer of great events!
