The specially trained FBI search at a Pike County landfill as part of the Aleah Beckerle missing person’s case is ending operations on Tuesday afternoon.
The search has been taking place at Blackfoot Landfill.
Authorities started the search on September 26 after executing a federal search warrant.
Because the federally issued search warrant remains sealed, authorities say no information can be released at this time.
Initially, authorities indicated it would take 6-8 weeks to complete the search.
Aleah Beckerle has been missing since mid-July.
She was last seen in her bed around 9 p.m. on July 16.
Authorities say the investigation is still active and anyone with information is asked to call EPD at 812-436-7979 or the WeTip Hotline at 1-800-78-CRIME.
