American Red Cross sends local help to Florida

Local News

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – The American Red Cross is sending local help to Florida.

An emergency response vehicle left Evansville Monday to assist with the disaster response.

We’re told the Red Cross is mobilizing more than 600 trained volunteers from all over the country. And that includes more than 100 emergency response vehicles and dozens of tractor-trailer loads full of relief supplies.

In addition to donating blood, you can help those in need by texting the word “Dorian” to 90999 to make a $10 donation.
