EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — The Evansville National Night Out event kicks off on Monday morning with a breakfast event.
National Night Out is a chance for law enforcement, emergency responders and neighborhoods to get to know each other a little better, and to make the community a little safer.
A kickoff breakfast will be held at Wesselman’s Shelter #1 at 9 a.m. Monday morning.
Mayor Lloyd Winnecke will be there to read a proclamation, declaring August 6 as National Night Out day in Evansville.
The event itself takes place from 6 until 8:30 Tuesday night at Wesselman Park.
The public is invited, and there will be free food and activities all evening.
