EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – Another person has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of 25-year-old Delvin Mitchell.
A multi-agency investigation led to murder charges filed against 32-year-old Justin Brewer.
In January, Evansville Police responded to a shots fired call in the 2300 block of Frisse Ave.
When officers arrived, they found Mitchell dead at the scene. They said he had been shot.
In June, the FBI’s dive team located the murder weapon from Pigeon Creek near Diamond Avenue.
Evidence collected at the crime scene was compared to and matched with the recovered weapon, police say.
During the course of the investigation, interviews, evidence and electronic data that was collected has led to the arrest of Justin Brewer.
Justin Brewer is being held in the Knox County, Indiana Jail.
Amber Brewer, the wife of Justin, was charged with Mitchell’s murder in September. She’s being held in Henderson County Jail.
More information will be released later this week.
