(WEHT) – More than two dozen Catholic school students and their parents lose an appeal in the Chickenpox vaccination case.
This comes after the health agency cancelled extracurricular activities and imposed a temporary ban on school attendance for unvaccinated students during a chickenpox outbreak.
Students claimed it was against their religious beliefs.
The panel sided with a trial court judge who ruled that northern Kentucky Health Department acted within its authority.
Students and their parents’ attorney will appeal to the Kentucky Supreme Court.
