EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) Indiana’s second highest court will hear arguments in Evansville, as part of its Appeals on Wheels program.

The case involves the 2014 death of Kristy Kelley.

Her disappearance from a Boonville VFW Post in 2014 drew national attention.

A month after she vanished, Kelley’s body was found inside her vehicle at the bottom of a lake.

At the time, the Warrick County Sheriff’s Office sealed the investigation and labeled the death an accident.

But Kelley’s father, Todd Scales, wants those records made public.

His request in Warrick County Superior Court was denied.

Scales appealed that ruling, and that’s where Monday’s hearing comes in.

Justices with the appeals court will hear arguments in the case beginning at 11:00 Monday morning at USI’’s Carter Hall.
