The Vanderburgh Community Foundation is accepting applications for the Camden Hancock ‘18 Scholarship.
This was created in memory of Camden Hancock and recognizes a member of the F.J. Reitz High School baseball team who demonstrates academic excellence, a high level of sportsmanship, and strong leadership, characteristics exhibited by Camden.
A member of the Reitz High School Class of 2018, Camden was a member of the National Honor Society and planned to pursue a degree in automotive engineering. He was active in athletics and a member of the Reitz varsity baseball team.
Camden’s life was cut short a few months following high school graduation due to a rare form of brain cancer.
Graduating seniors of F.J. Reitz High School who have participated in the school’s baseball program are encouraged to apply.
Applications are due by midnight on Friday, March 8, 2019.
Questions regarding eligibility and the application are available on Vanderburgh Community Foundation’s website: www.communityfoundationalliance.org/vanderburgh/scholarships.
