Army Corps of Engineers monitoring Patoka Lake for possible flooding

Local News

DUBOIS COUNTY, Ind. (WEHT) – Flooding at the Patoka Lake Reservoir did not get as bad as initially thought.

But the Army Corps of Engineers is still monitoring the situation.

The reservoir sprawls across three counties including Dubois County.

All the rain we’ve had this year created concerns the lake might reach capacity.

But the rain amounts were less than forecasted.

Army Corps of Engineers have been releasing water for a few weeks now.

The lake will still stay above normal levels for most of the summer.
