Local News

The Arts and Crafts Festival wrapped up Sunday at Audubon State Park in Henderson.

Vendors lined the park with items including baked goods, jewelry and handmade specialties.
The festival has been a tradition for more than 40 years.
Officials say more than 2,500 people came out for the event despite the chilly weather.

“Our goal was to increase the size of the crowd that comes out to this because we believe that it’s good for Audubon State Park,” said Bill Diebert with the Henderson Lions Club, “It brings more attention, more people with knowledge of the park and whatever is good for Audubon State Park is good for Henderson “

Live music played throughout the park ass people shopped all weekend long.
