INDIANAPOLIS (WEHT)- Following Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb’s executive order to allow elective surgeries, Ascension St. Vincent announced plans to gradually restart those procedures Friday.

Ascension St. Vincent says it will reintroduce certain procedures while also continuing efforts to care for patients with COVID-19. However, it did not say which procedures would resume or when they may restart.

The hospital started postponing and canceling elective procedures in March as a precaution to prevent the spread of infection and to conserve hospital resources.
