OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEHT)- Audubon Area Head Start Director, Jeff Martin says the organization will close due to concerns over coronavirus.

Martin says that while Head Start centers try to stay open during a crisis, he adds this is an “unprecedented situation.” Martin says he made the decision after discussions with multiple agencies and listening to the latest information from Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear.

Martin says he is encouraged that it does not appear Head Start students are at a high risk for coronavirus. Right now, there are not any confirmed cases of coronavirus in our Tri-State area.
