EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — On Thursday, Aurora will be holding a community cookout featuring Evansville Otters Mascot “Evan the Otter.”

During the cookout, Aurora team members will be grilling bratwurst, Italian sausage, hot dogs and more.

Cookout attendees get their picture taken with Evan, and receive free tickets to “Aurora Night at the Otters” on Friday, August 23rd. 

Food and tickets will be available only while supplies last.

“We invite our neighbors to visit Aurora to enjoy lunch on us, take a selfie with Evan the Otter and get free tickets to our ‘Aurora Night at the Otters’ game this Friday,” Aurora Executive Director Timothy Weir said. “Attending ‘Aurora Night at the Otters’ is a great way to support our work to prevent and end homelessness in Evansville.” 

The cookout will take place from 1 to 4 p.m., and the special appearance by Otters Mascot “Evan” is from 1 until 3.

Aurora Inc. is located at 1001 Mary Street in Evansville.
