Authorities Hold Successful Sobriety Checkpoint

The Evansville-Vanderburgh County Traffic Safety Partnership had a successful evening conducting a sobriety checkpoint Friday night.

The checkpoint was near the intersection of NW 2nd Street and S. 3rd Avenue.

We are told five motorists were arrested:

Jacob Roy Anderson, 22, of Evansville. Operating a Motor Vehicle while Intoxicated.

Mark Allen Pedersen, 44, of Evansville. Possession of Paraphernalia as a Class A Misdemeanor, Possession of Marijuana as a Class B Misdemeanor.

Kyle Jeffrey Rich, 22, of Newburgh. Possession of Marijuana as a Class A Misdemeanor, Possession of Paraphernalia as a Class C Misdemeanor.

Ramon Troy Harvey, 37, of Evansville. Operate while Habitual Traffic Violator as a Level 5 Felony, Possession of Methamphetamine as a Level 6 Felony, Possession of Paraphernalia as a Class C Misdemeanor.

Denver Jo Leonard, 32, of Evansville. Possession of Methamphetamine as a Level 6 Felony.
