EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – Evansville-based Berry Global is acquiring a European-based company for billions.
Berry is buying RPC Group for $6.5 billion.
The move makes Berry Global one of the world’s largest plastic packaging companies, with 290 locations on six continents. And it creates a leading global supplier of value-added protective solutions.
The group will now employ more than 48,000 people, according to a release.
Berry started in Evansville in 1967.
