Birthday parade for man in quarantine

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) Community members held a birthday parade for a man who is living in quarantine.

Dennis Gunther recently found out he has stage four cancer and has a compromised immune system.

Unable to see him on his birthday, Gunther’s family reached out to Missy Mosby in an attempt to still celebrate from a distance

“We know that this quarantine is even harder on him than it is for most other people, just because he really can’t be out, he can’t see his grandkids, he can’t see his family,” Mosby said.

“So his family contacted me and wanted to cheer him up so we jumped on board and are ready to do a parade for him.”

Gunther is known for his work for Buddy’s Promise – a nonprofit rescue group in Evansville.
