EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – The Boys & Girls Club of Evansville received a big donation.
D-Patrick Honda donated $1,500 to the non-profit.
D-Patrick Honda President Michael O’Daniel says each month they give away money to a charity.
He says the Board chose the Boys & Girls Club of Evansville because they do fantastic work in the community.
Boys & Girls Club of Evansville Resource Development Director says this donation is a big help.
“It’s going to assist us as we wrap up our summer program with some trips, healthy meals for the kids. We have about 225 kids a day right now that we are seeing. Mike and his team here. We just couldn’t be more fortunate.”
The money came from a campaign called “Honda Helping Kids,” which helps support those who help others in the Tri-State.
The Boys & Girls Club provides “guidance oriented” character development programs for children between six and 18 years old.
