EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – Staff members of The Boys & Girls Club of Evansville will be delivering lunch to 100 of the club’s members on Friday.
The club says that includes 44 families.
Evansville Boys & Girls Club shares that it’s been six weeks since the club was forced to suspend their normal programming amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
As a result, Club staff members came up with a contest to connect with families.
Club members were asked to respond via the REMIND texting app.
The first 100 members that did will receive a free lunch on Friday, delivered by club staff.
Legos and STEM kits will be included with each delivery.
Both Evansville locations of Buffalo Wild Wings are donating boxed lunches, which include boneless wings, dipping sauce, and fries.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Evansville reminds the public that they continue practicing social distancing, and that virtual programming is available on the Club’s Facebook and Instagram pages.
