Breadmaking growing in popularity during COVID-19 pandemic

OWENSBORO, Ky (WEHT) Many people are finding creative ways to pass the time during the coronavirus, so why not learn something new?

Joshua Sims from Owensboro is baking bread. He says he received some starter mix for sourdough bread from his mother and began the process to learn how to bake it.

He says he didn’t know at first that one batch makes four loaves of bread so he’s sharing the love.

“I’m not going to be able to eat all of this. I have friends and I wrapped some stuff up in parchment paper and made deliveries and dropped stuff off on peoples porches last week as a matter of fact and I’ll probably end up doing that with the batch I have going right now”

Sims says his first batch was pretty good, but he’s going to let the next cook just a bit longer.
