OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEHT) – Brescia University celebrates the opening of a new home for dozens of students.

The new St. Ann Residence Hall was dedicated Thursday afternoon.

The building named after the street it’s on houses up to 38 students.

The university’s president says it fills a growing need for on campus housing and meets needs for the modern college student.

“One of the efforts we’re making is to make sure we are a 21st century institution and part of that means we provide housing and space that students today are expecting and make them comfortable and safe and a good environment for learning.”

Father Hostetter also says enrollment will determine if more residence halls are built.
