Bruce Pearl expected to join ’95 USI title team in Evansville Saturday

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – Former USI head coach and current Auburn head coach Bruce Pearl is tentatively scheduled to join the 1995 USI national championship team in Evansville on Saturday.

Many members of the national title team will be announced at halftime of USI’s game against the University of Indianapolis, including UIndy’s head coach Stan Gouard. Pearl and the Wildcats will face Kentucky in Lexington Saturday afternoon and is tentatively expected to come to Evansville after that game.

The 1995 Screaming Eagles will be honored for their thrilling national championship game, which featured a comeback from a 22-point first half deficit to capture USI’s first national title.
