Burn ban issued for Hopkins County

HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. (WEHT) – A burn ban has been issued for Hopkins County.

Due to current and predicted weather conditions, and the dangers of forest fires in Hopkins County, all outdoor burning will be prohibited until further notice.

This burn ban is effective immediately.

Earlier in the day, Muhlenberg County issued a burn ban due to the weather conditions and dangers of fires.

We will update this once the burn ban has been lifted.
