EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — Busler’s Gas station on Diamond and St. Joe Avenue is offering gas for $1.99 when it is usually $2.55.
Busler Enterprises President Charles Wolfinger said he dropped the prices to help bring in customers during CountryMark’s “Operation Fueling Freedom” — which donates 50 cents of every gallon to the national guard.
“Going the extra mile,” Wolfinger told Eyewitness News. “We could have went along with the rest of them but we chose to go the extra mile for the National Guard as well as for the people who came in to support the National Guard. So, that’s why we did it. For our customers, they’re loyal customers.”
Members of the National Guard even pumped gas for customers.
The deal ended at 5 p.m. on Friday evening.
Folks are lined up at Bustler’s on Diamond Ave. for 1.99 gas … it is normally 2.55. Bustler’s said they went the extra mile to lower the price in addition to CountryMark’s program that gives 50 cents a gallon towards the National Guard.

The owner of Busler’s said they dropped the price so drastically to thank their loyal customers, and to fill the parking lot since .50 cents a gallon goes towards the National Gaurd thanks to a program by CountryMark. They are paying for the difference out of pocket. #EWNLocal pic.twitter.com/dHDqSAtsmP — Amanda Mueller Eyewitness News (@AmandaMuellerTV) June 21, 2019
