WARRICK COUNTY, Ind. (WEHT) – A Warrick County student will be representing the Tri-State in the National Spelling Bee.

Pranav Chandar is a sixth grader at Castle North Middle School.

He won the Regional Spelling Bee and is leaving for Washington DC Friday.

Pranav says hard work is what brought him to success.

“There’s this list called CWL and that has like 30,000 words or something. And that’s a big list to go through and I’m going through that right now.”

He says the list of words for the National Spelling Bee is “huge”.
