The Republican challenger for incumbent Congressman Larry Bucshon’s eighth district seat spoke with Eyewitness News Monday.
Dr. Richard Moss, a surgeon from Jasper, was defeated by Congressman Bucshon in the 2016 Republican primary.
He is again challenging Dr. Larry Bucshon for Indiana’s eighth district seat.
Moss, a self-described philosophical conservative, says he supports term limits, a balanced budget and limited government –
“What is unique about America, and what is responsible for the greatness of this country, is that it elevates the individual. And the only way to do that is to keep our central government in Washington, D.C. small and restore resources and power back to the states, local communities and the individual.”
Moss also opposes DACA, telling Eyewitness News he would like to restore the country’s immigration policies so they reflect the nation’s interests, not those of the immigrants or other countries.
Indiana’s primary is May 8.
