Chickens died from botulism, owner says

Local News

OHIO COUNTY, Ky. (WEHT) – A cause of death has been determined after several chickens died mysteriously at a home in Ohio County.

Rick McCormick – who owned the chickens – says recent tests done showed the animals tested positive for botulism.

He adds the poultry were going to be removed from his home.

McCormick says several chickens started dying at his home more than a week ago.

The Kentucky Department of Agriculture says this appeared to be an isolated case.
