City Council approves EnCom Polymers tax abatement

Local News

Evansville City Council approved a tax abatement on Monday night during EnCom Polymers.

Encom polymers has been in the Tri-State for 17 years producing plastic for several industries and plans to expand its headquarters while adding almost 60 new jobs.

“Any time we can get a company that’s willing to come to Evansville and provide the jobs and benefits they’re providing, it’s really a no brainer,” said City Councilman Jim Brinkmeyer.

The council approved the company’s tax abatement 9-0.

EnCom will also receive grant money for every Evansville resident it hires over the next two years.
