The City of Evansville continues its efforts to raise money for three homeless agencies. Mayor Lloyd Winnecke’s office says the city is halfway to its goal of making up for lost federal housing money.

The U.S. government is shifting the money from temporary housing solutions to permanent ones. This impacted Aurora, the YWCA, and Goodwill Family Center.

The city is now trying to make up the $162,000 to help the three agencies make it through the end of the year.
