EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – The cleanup at the Children’s Museum of Evansville continues as they get ready for more visitors and exhibits.

Workers and other cleaning crews are cleaning floors, stocking merchandise, and putting up a new exhibit this week.

The museum will be closed until Sunday, September 15th.

Marketing Director Clay Prindle says it’s more than about having a cleaner environment for kids and other guests.

“Being a children’s museum, things get really dirty, things get kind of messy, and this is really the opportunity for us to remediate the spaces, fix some of the exhibits that may be broken, and just make sure our museum is up to the quality and standards our public expects.”

Prindle also says more than 40 volunteers are expected to help clean the museum this Friday as part of the United Way Day of Caring.
