Clearing clogged inlets can mitigate flooding, city officials say

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – The Evansville Water and Sewer Utility is urging people to take steps to mitigate flooding this week.

Four to six inches of rain could be possible from Thursday to Saturday, according to city officials.

Crews will be clearing known problem areas among the city’s thousands of street inlets in the coming days.

However, city officials ask you to clean any clogged inlets you see by removing debris from them.
