Commonwealth’s attorney: Investigation into Father Bradley closed; no charges to be filed

OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEHT) – The investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct involving Father Ed Bradley has been closed.

Commonwealth’s Attorney Bruce Kuegel said the allegation was not supported by evidence.

Kuegel said even if the evidence supported the allegations, the charges would have been misdemeanors and prosecution would be barred by the one-year statute of limitations.

The investigation surrounded alleged sexual misconduct involving Father Bradley and a former student in the early 1980’s.

The police department conducted the investigation, which included interviews.
