Community raises funeral funds for girl hit by tree in Boonville

BOONVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – A GoFundMe page has been set up to help cover funeral costs for a six-year-old girl hit by a falling tree.

Elliana Cobb was on a nature walk with a relative Saturday when the incident happened, according to the GoFundMe page.

Emergency crews rushed to the scene in the 1300 block of Maple Grove Rd. but they were unable to save the girl.

The GoFundMe page has a goal of $15,000.

As of Monday morning, more than $13,000 has been raised.
