EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – If you drove the Lloyd Expressway in Evansville by Interstate 69 Tuesday, chances are you were in a big backup and you should expect this backup to last for a while.
An INDOT official says there is an ongoing, labor intensive project where shock absorbers are being removed, the joint cleaned and a new shock absorber installed.
Also, concrete is being removed and replaced where needed.
The same type of work is expected to occur all along the expressway between Highway 41 and Highway 261 in Newburgh, taking about a year to complete.
