Contract awarded to Atlas World Group bringing new jobs to Evansville

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – Atlas World Group, a company headquartered in Evansville, has announced the company has been selected as part of a new contract valued at nearly $7.2 Billion by the United State Transportation Command.

Atlas will be part of a team that will execute all global relocation services for the Department of Defense and the U.S. Coast Guard.

Evansville Deputy Mayor Steve Schaefer posted the job news to Facebook Wednesday morning.

According to a release from Atlas, in addition to Atlas World Group, the major partners in Team ARC include American Roll-On Roll-Off Carrier Group (ARC), UniGroup, Suddath, The Pasha Group and Deloitte.

An initial 9-month transition period is expected to begin this month, pending no delays. The contract could run over nine years if all options and awards are exercised by the United States Government.
