Coroner identifies man who died in Owensboro stabbing

Owensboro Police are investigating after one man died and two others were injured in a reported stabbing incident.

According to a press release from OPD, officers responded to the 21 hundred block of Baker Avenue around 8:35 Saturday night for reports of a stabbing.

Officers found a man and two women with multiple lacerations in the home. All victims were transported to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital for treatment.

Daviess County Coroner Jeff Jones confirmed that the male victim identified as Kevin Baize of Owensboro died at the hospital. Coroner Jones has ruled his death a suicide.

The case is still under investigation by OPD.

There is no word on the condition of the two women involved.
