DUBOIS CO., Ind (WEHT) A Dubois County couple accused of converting their closet to a cage and locking their child inside will not serve any additional time behind bars.

Alan and Aimee Friz agreed to plead guilty to neglect of a dependent. In return, they will serve two years on probation. Nearly two dozen other counts of neglect and confinement charges were dropped.

The Friz’s were arrested in October of 2017 after officials say they went to the couple’s home and found a closet converted into a cage where a child had been kept for extended periods of time.
