COVID-19 cases confirmed at KY Tyson plant


ROBARDS, Ky. (WEHT) — Tyson Foods confirmed Monday employees at its plant in Robards have tested positive for COVID-19.

Eyewitness News has received several calls saying 18 workers at the plant tested positive. Tyson will not confirm the number but says some team members did test positive.

90 employees at Tyson’s plant in Goodlettsville, Tennessee have tested positive.

The company says it has increased safety measures including checking temperatures of team members prior to each shift, installing dividers in work areas and implementing social distancing. Tyson says team members at all of its facilities are required to wear face coverings.

Tyson officials also told Eyewitness News plant production areas are sanitized daily to ensure food safety, and they have stepped up deep cleaning and sanitizing of our facilities, especially in employee breakrooms, locker rooms and other areas to protect our team members.
