Evansville Fire officials say the house is vacant, and nobody was home when the fire broke out. No injuries have been reported.
Officials believe the fire started on the second floor. It’s taking crews longer to put the blaze out because they say there have been issues accessing water in the area.
Eyewitness News is on the scene of a massive house fire near downtown Evansville.
The fire broke out before 8 p.m. in the 200 block of W. Michigan St.
No reports of this time of any injuries, but crews are continuing to battle the flames and smoke.
