For the third time this week, Evansville emergency crews respond to an apartment complex on Lodge Avenue.
The latest run came just before 1 a.m. Friday.
Firefighters were called after residents at 2800 Lodge Avenue reported seeing and smelling smoke in the apartment building.
Firefighters were there in a matter of minutes and gave the all clear a short time later.
We’re still working to gather more information from the fire department regarding this run.
On Tuesday, fire crews called in after residents reported a possible gas leak.
Instead, police say they found trails of gasoline inside 2700 and 2800 Lodge Avenue.
They also recovered a gas can.
On Monday, 17-year-old Deviante Gaines was shot and killed at the apartment he lived in at 2800 Lodge.
He died of a gunshot wound to the chest.
One of the questions police want answered is whether Gaines shot himself or if someone else pulled the trigger.
