Update: Crews respond to water line break on Evansville’s west side

UPDATE

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – A precautionary boil advisory has been issued for parts of the city’s west side following a water main break on North Red Bank Rd.

The boil advisory was issued for the area north of the Ohio River, south of Mill Rd., west of St. Joe Ave. and east of the Posey County Line.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – The Evansville Water & Sewer Utility said crews are working on a major water line break on the west side near the University Shopping Center.

Customers will be impacted for approximately four hours, including Lowes, Evansville Federal Credit Union, Fairfield Inn, Fazoli’s, Denny’s, CVS, the Marathon gas station, Zellers, First Bank, and Harmony Eye Care.

The area affected is north and south of the Lloyd Expressway.

A boil advisory will be issued.
