The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans a daytime closure on a section of KY 69 in southern Hancock County on Wednesday.
KY 69 will be closed to through traffic during daylight hours at milepoint 6.65 to allow a cross drain to be replaced.
The closure is along KY 69 between Ed Brown Road and Goering Road.
The work site is just over seven miles south of Hawesville and two miles north of the KY 69/KY 144 intersection.
KY 69 is expected to close this location at approximately 8 a.m. on Wednesday, and the roadway is expected to reopen by about 2:30 p.m. the same day.
There will be a marked detour via KY 144 and US 60.
Local access will be maintained on each side of the closure point.
Drivers traveling this section of KY 69 should take note of this planned closure and make alternate travel plans.
Single-lane traffic may be required in this area for other finish work on Thursday and/or Friday.
This cross drain replacement project is to prepare for paving along this section of KY 69 later this year.
