EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — The week is coming to an end for the fall festival this year and the one thing everyone is talking about is that half pot. We now have the numbers of the winning ticket 2-6-2-9-8-8-4.
Before that drawing started we stopped a couple of people on the street to find out if they bought one and how they feel about the raffle.
Topping out at $1.2 million those from the Tri-State waited in line for food and their Half Pot tickets.
“We bought 20 and our sister-in-law bought 20 and our daughter lives in Indianapolis she saw on TV so she texted me on Friday and we came out and bought her 20,” Cecilia Kuester says.
Not everyone was waiting in those lines but now they’re kicking themselves for it.
“I do wish I would’ve, now knowing that I got over to above $1 million,” Jordan Palmisano explains.
But one buyer says she took the risk because everyone wins in the situation.
“It’s a win situation for everybody.
“Whoever wins half pot gets half and then the rest of the money goes to schools in the community so it’s a win-win situation for everyone,” Kuester says.
But now when the Fall Festival rolls around next year things might be different.
“If they do the half that again next year absolutely I’ll buy 700 tickets,” Palmisano says.
