Local News

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – Artists, musicians and families gathered in downtown Evansville Sunday for the NoCo Makers Market.

Vendors lined the streets along Carpenter Street.

People could shop from over 40 crafters and enjoy live music and a pumpkin patch.

There were also food trucks, a beer garden, s’mores and even a dog “howl-o-ween” costume contest.

The first 200 children received a free pumpkin.

“It’s important for us to do events that are unique and different and they showcase the fine attributes of downtown. So that’s what we really like about this event, it’s different and it’s unique. When you come downtown and you support these local businesses, you’re supporting your local economy, you’re supporting your friends and neighbors. That’s why we really emphasize and support buying local,” said Adam Trinkel, Marketing and Events Manager for Downtown Evansville.

Crafters at the event offered everything from paintings, woodworking, sculptures, soap and more.
