DAVIESS COUNTY, Ky. (WEHT)- In accordance with Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear’s phased reopening process, the Daviess County Fiscal Court announced it will continue to allow recreational use at several local parks.
The Fiscal Court says it will provide facilities to allow for recreational use of Yellow Creek Park, Panther Creek Park, and Horse Fork Creek Park. Outdoor park greenspaces and walking or nature trails will be open from 8 AM to 11 PM. Public fishing and disc golf will also be open to the public.
However, park activities including shelter reservations, baseball and softball tournaments, organized disc golf activities, leagues, and other special events through June 21 will not be accommodated.
All outdoor park activities like basketball courts, volleyball courts, tennis courts, soccer fields, baseball or softball fields, playground equipment, and shelters will remain closed.
Scheduled programs like “Take a Kid Camping” and “Take a Kid Fishing” have been cancelled and rescheduled for Summer 2021.
